4-8-year-olds

AT DRAMACADEMY

 

Each term is based on a different, exciting theme such as Wizards, Pirates & Mermaids and Superheroes. The children work towards an exciting show that is performed at the end of term for family and friends.

At Dramacademy everyone has lines to learn and everyone is involved all the way. 

The class is divided into three sections:

PHYSICALITY & DANCE

AIMS: to develop coordination, flexibility, rhythm, spatial-awareness, balance, teamwork and overall body confidence. 

METHOD: a high-energy warm-up and stretch followed by physical team games and a fun dance routine.

VOICE & FOCUS

AIMS: to develop communication skills articulation, eye contact, and focus as well as musicality, rhythm, pitch and singing skills. To encourage children to speak in front of the group confidently with no fidgeting.

METHOD: Children do a vocal warm-up, play articulation games and learn well-known show songs and poems.

ACT & IMPROVISE

AIMS: to stimulate the imagination, encourage creativity and focus the children's minds.

METHOD: Children play drama games and do role-play and story-telling exercises.
